I thought it be best if we close out the week with one of my favorite pictures. These girls are just so cute and from a series that's full of cute moments, I knew I had to include them at some point. As for the pic, it's pretty funny that the girls are holding clothes in front of them when they themselves aren't wearing any. I guess they needed to inspect the laundry before putting it on!

Every time I've started my operation somewhere, this has been the first picture I post. That's no accident; I find this picture to be one of my favorites. It illustrates perfectly the ideals behind this blog: Her hearty smile showcases joy and a lack of shame; she's having fun! After a month of downtime, you start to assume the website isn't coming back, so you don't check it. Fortunately, it's back, so I can still post.
One of those great expressions when it comes to humorous nudity is a sort of wide-eyed, small-mouthed, "deer in headlights" look that comes with surprise. Wendy here demonstrates that perfectly, with a look that suggests maybe she wasn't expecting the viewer to be there. You know, I could've sworn that this was the men's bath. In fact, I think it is; Japanese bathing laws are weird.

This girl is so cute I can't help but share her. She's so giddy and cheerful that the picture is something amazing. Her wide open eyes and that big hearty smile make this picture nothing short of adorable. Though, I gotta ask... does she come with the cake, or is she extra?

Okay, so remember how I said there's nothing cuter than giving a kid a bath? Well, some kids don't exactly wanna take 'em. Just as good a source for humor is some naughty kid who's not gonna take his bath sitting down, and'll probably need to be dragged kicking and screaming. I'd like to spend today in a good mood, so our picture today is something that puts me in a such. I have no comment on this pic; it's just really cute, and you should be able to tell why just looking at it. Expect a lot of these, people enjoyed the episode it was based on!

Sorry for the lateness. I was busy reorganizing my folder. That meant it was kinda hard to find the pic for today. I have it now, though.
It's very hard to do a bath pic that's more artful than perverted, especially an anime one. This one seems to do the job, though. The angle is alluring in an artful way, and the pose and expression is nice and inviting. The steam keeps us from intruding on her privacy, but is in just a way to give us enough of a view to allow us to appreciate her. This one honestly feels more like a way of appreciating the female form than of simply ogling her.

Exhibit B: This story talks about something called a "solidifying lantern", which can turn gas and liquids into solids. Unfortunately, Shizuka finds out all to quickly that this includes her bath water and the steam in it, and she can't enter it. The effect wears off, but only so much, as she finds herself stuck in the tub. And while she manages to make it out, she totally faceplants while doing so. That last panel in particular is such a cartoony panel I just love it.

Time to bring in the ladies. And this one is one of my faves. It's such a good example of embarrassment and shyness. It looks like it could be used for nice comedic moments that any good Ecchi anime would use.

I have a serious thing for embarrassed girls. It's a real nice way to diffuse any sort of sexuality and portray the whole thing as humorous. Not only does the embarrassment show with this picture, but the expression on her face is a nice, exaggerated, comedic look that sells the whole thing. You just know she's going to smack those two; her face says it all.

I come today proving that my cause is not a lost one, because today I'm going to once again show that Yes, It Can Be Done!
The 80's in the world of anime saw a lot of influence from Mobile Suit Gundam. One of the ways it did so was by inspiring Sunrise, the studio that made Gundam to create series similar to it, like Fang of the Sun Dougram and Armored Trooper VOTOMS. Today's case comes from another of these Gundam knockoffs, Panzer World Galient.
In this case, we have a girl, Chiruru, trying to create a distraction. She's playing a sleepwalking girl who apparently sleeps nude, and while this is happening the boy of similar age is out stealing a giant robot that's patrolling the area. Once captured, Chiruru jumps for joy, then covers herself upon remembering she's naked.
You can tell that Chiruru's not being used sexually because the camera doesn't portray her as such. Full-body shots tend to diffuse sexual content since it's not focusing on a specific part of the body, and when they do focus on her it's usually when her head is in view. The scene is just using her nudity for humor, plain and simple, and it's all the better for it. Read More »

In this case, it's based off an episode that used the classic Charlie Brown "speeding baseball leaves character in undies" gag, only with a little more nudity and a lot more object censors. This is such a funny pic I can't help but share. Cute, too!

I had a bit of a tough time choosing today's pic. Fortunately, I have one now, and it's a cute one. It looks like this girl decided to save time on bathing her pet and herself and combine them into one. Giving animals a bath can be fun, and this one manages to combine it with a child in the bath which is always fun. Though, I'd be careful around that cat if I were you...

I really had to go prying from my files to get this one. Fact is, we're in a position where we're starting to run out of suitable material. This one is even cropped to hide R-rated lolis.
As for why I picked this one, it's easy to see when you look at it. First, there's the face, nice and shy with a great expression and a fine blush. Then there's the pose. I was introduced to this pose by Seiryuga's Nano Dance series, and it seems to be what certain sources use when they depict a little girl covering her shame. It's a nice pose, very cute and very expressive.

This guy may very well be one of my favorite loli artists for one simple reason: his anatomy. He has a particular way of drawing lolis that is very "cartoony", which in my eyes is good at dissolving sexuality and making them seem more cute. That this pic is a funny swimsuit mishap picture makes it all the better. Just watch out, this could be you!

So sorry about having no ladies last time, but, you know, April Fools only comes once a year. Have this humanized version of the Rarity scene we did last time to make up for it! It's a good one, having just the right details to be more humorous than alluring. Out of all the human versions, it's one of my favorites, and there's a lot of them!

Children are beautiful, and it used to be that everyone knew it. Photographers used to take pictures of children in the nude not to sexualize them, but to more fully appreciate them, capture them in their natural environment. The kids didn't mind, and the nature of the photoshoot meant it wasn't exploitation. This picture sorta reminds me of those photoshoots in a way, what with the striking pose and camera angle, only it's done with a character from animation, meaning the one thing people complain about these days, that real kids could be harmed, is not an issue since the kid doesn't really exist. Of course, I've seen that logic used to justify worse things...

I was debating whether or not to post this here, but I decided to for a couple of reasons: This was the original artist's intent for the picture, and the forum he posted it to because DeviantArt took some of his older PPG loli down was a public one before it crashed. So I feel it's justified posting it here, since it used to be quite public.
As for the picture, what makes it all work is the final panel, or rather, the stretching of the panel providing a unique form of cover that really only comics can provide. Better than a bedsheet!

This is a great example of simplified anatomy. The proportions and details of Lola here's body are done in such a way to look cute, silly, and completely nonsexual, and not just in the anatomy we immediately recognize: note the literal flat feet. It's really great that this artist decided to keep her anatomy simple like the original cartoon. You can definitely tell what the person who sees her is saying. "What're you doing?! You can't go out looking like that!"
